Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park

Hordern Pavilion is a building located in Moore Park, Sydney, on the grounds of the old Sydney Showground. The Hordern Pavilion has been an architecturally and socially significant Sydney landmark since its construction in 1924.

Now best known as a dance party and rock concert venue, the Hordern Pavilion was originally constructed for the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales to meet the increasing demands for exhibition space at the Royal Easter

A large exhibition stand for Black Star Pastry to promote their speciality and one of a kind, Strawberry and Watermelon Cake.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

This exhibition stand hosts cooking masterclasses and live cake demonstrations in how to create Black Star Pastry's very famous Strawberry and Watermelon Cake. Here, one is able to purchase their renowned cake, which has been layered with almond dacquoise, watermelon, strawberries, rose-scented cream, topped with pistachios, and dried rose petals, whilst sipping on a warm and comforting coffee.

It was their very famous and in high-demand Strawberry and Watermelon Cake which drove the overall design features of this casual yet sleek design. It is very bespoke, with custom made joinery, lighting fixtures, and wall panelling, which has been carefully crafted to mimic the ingredients found within their very own Strawberry and Watermelon cake. In particular, you will see this strawberry shape within the bespoke lighting elements, bespoke wall panelling, and bespoke stools and tables.
